Years 7-8

Year 7 is an important year where our pupils make the transition into Senior School. Small changes to the school uniform and reward system, for example, differentiate these pupils from the younger years.

Year 7 pupils begin the year with team-building activities in order to help new pupils to settle in.

Year 8 pupils continue with the same subjects, heading for readiness for GCSE/BTEC courses.

The Curriculum in Year 7 and 8 covers the following subjects:

  • English (with Drama integrated)
  • Science
  • Maths
  • French
  • Spanish
  • Executive Function Skills
  • History
  • Geography
  • Religious Studies (RS)
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Music
  • Art
  • Physical Education (PE)
  • Games
  • Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) (with half a term of Food and Nutrition, half a term of Forest School)
