Forest School

Outdoor Learning & Forest School
Outdoor learning is a powerful way for children to develop physical ability, confidence, resilience and imagination. At LGS Stoneygate, we are committed to giving every pupil the chance to learn beyond the classroom, which is why we have developed our exciting Forest School programme. This allows pupils across the school to experience adventurous, hands‑on activities safely within our extensive school grounds.

Learning in our 40 acres of woodland and fields
Forest School takes place across our 40‑acre site, giving children the freedom to explore woods, fields and natural spaces. Led by trained Forest School leaders, sessions help pupils grow in:
- Confidence
- Physical capability
- Problem‑solving skills
- Teamwork
- Independence
All learning is practical, engaging and rooted in the natural environment.
