GCSE Results 2025

The LGS Stoneygate Class of 2025 achieved fantastic GCSE results, demonstrating a Value Added of +1.1, meaning that they scored on average one grade higher across all qualifications, than would be expected nationally; this shows outstanding progress. We are immensely proud of them.
Their many excellent results reflect the attitude and effort they have put into their studies over the past two years. As a year group, they have been fully committed to all aspects of school life, contributing to music, sport, art, and drama. Many of them also achieved the Bronze level Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and formed a successful pupil leadership team. The LGS Stoneygate Class of 2025 is a tight-knit group who have been wonderfully supportive of each other to work hard and to showcase their best.
Headmistress Christina McCullough commented: ‘Following consistent hard work, our pupils have achieved well-deserved results and they should be very proud of their successes, which are significantly above the national average. It has been a privilege to watch our students develop their academic and personal skills in and out of the classroom. We wish them every success in the next steps of their educational journey.’
History, Art, ICT, Religious Studies and Geography, in particular, all celebrated excellent achievements. In addition, all pupils in French achieved a Grade 7 or above and all pupils in Music achieved a grade 8 and above. Pupils studying Animal Care achieved exceptional results with all achieving a Distinction or Starred Distinction.
As the Class of 2025 now head off to take up their various Sixth Form places including Leicester Grammar School, Beauchamp College, Stamford School, Moulton College and Lutterworth College. We wish them all the best as they enjoy the next steps in their educational journey and we certainly hope they will keep in touch.
